Frequently Asked Questions
Do you test on
animals?
We never test our products on animals or ask others to do
it on our behalf. We don’t even use animal based ingredients
that require pain or slaughter of animals. We’re proud
to be a founding member of the U.S. Humane Society Beauty
without Cruelty program. We only purchase ingredients from
suppliers who share our no animal testing policies.
If you don’t test on animals,
how do you know your products are safe?
First, we use only ingredients that have been demonstrated
as safe through years of use or other kinds of non-animal
safety checks such as in-vitro and stability tests. Each incoming
raw material and every compounded batch of product is tested
for consistency, anti-microbial, yeast, mold, pH and viscosity
to insure quality and safety. During product development,
new formulations are tried and tested by real people in addition
to the traditional stability and lab tests above.

What does Aromatherapy means and
is any product among Sinclair & Valentine’s line
using aromatherapy principles?
The Wikipedia free online encyclopedia defines aromatherapy
as follow: commonly associated with complementary and alternative
medicine (CAM), aromatherapy is the use of volatile liquid
plant materials, known as essential oils (EOs), and other
aromatic compounds from plants to affect someone's mood or
health. The word was coined in the 1920s by French chemist
René Maurice Gattefossé, who devoted his life
to researching the healing properties of essential oils after
a lucky accident in his perfume laboratory. (In the accident,
he lit his arm on fire and thrust it into the nearest cold
liquid, which happened to be a vat of lavender oil. Much to
his amazement, the burn quickly healed without a scar.)
Sinclair & Valentine pays special attention
to the synergy of ingredients and essential oils in creating
its Aromatherapaes line to offer powerful and beneficial products.

Can I use Footsie Fixers on my
body instead of my feet?
Footsie Fixers is a line that has been specifically developed
to sooth, provide relief and moisturize the thicker skin found
on your skin. However, Footsie Fixers uses Peppermint Essential
Oil to refresh and stimulate circulation of fatigued feet,
which in turn can be harmful when left a prolonged period
of time on sensitive areas of the body.
